Butter (to grease)
7 ounces graham crackers or English-style digestive biscuits
4¾ ounces butter
7 ounces (70% cocoa) dark chocolate
2-3 tbsp golden syrup
3½ ounces mini marshmallows
Icing sugar (to dust, optional)
Additional Ingredients:
Dried fruit (of choice)
Nuts (of choice)
Popcorn (broken into pieces)
Grease and line a 7" square brownie pan.
Add the crackers to a ziplock bag, and with a rolling pin,
crush until you have a mixture of different consistencies.
Put aside.
In a large pan, melt the butter. Add the chocolate and the syrup (to taste) and
cook over a gentle heat while stirring until almost no lumps of chocolate visible.
Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool.
Add the crushed crackers along with the marshmallows to the pan.
Next, add up to 3½ ounces of additional ingredients of choice, and stir until the mixture is covered entirely.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan, spreading it out to the edges.
Chill in the fridge, dust with icing sugar, and slice into 12 even fingers.
